Wall Formwork

Wall formwork with Framax Xlife

The Doka framed formwork Framax Xlife is the ideal framed formwork for large-area forming using the crane. The very high load-bearing capacity and long lifespan of the Doka framed formwork Framax Xlife make it highly economical for all wall-forming tasks.

Permitted pressure of the fresh concrete: 80 kN / m2

Framax Xlife is unusually versatile and flexible, so you can quickly form any layout with it.
The panels can be fixed together at any point around the frame, quickly and safely, using the Framax quick-acting clamp RU orthe multi-function clamp. Because the Framax Xlife panels are so robust, you only need 2 form-ties per 2.70 m of panel height. Any fitting-gaps left between the Framax Xlife panels are very easy to close. The system gives you a choice between several different options so that you can always get the best possible length adjustment in each case.
Framax Xlife also takes corners, stop-end formwork and wall junctions happily in its stride. Here too, it gives you perfect, cost-saving solutions. Matching safety and workplace accessories make work with Framax Xlife even quicker and easier.

Forming walls with Alu-Framax Xlife

With the Doka framed formwork Alu-Framax Xlife, you can achieve perfect forming results even without a crane. The exceptionally high loadability and long lifespan of Alu-Framax Xlife make it highly economical for all wall-forming tasks.

WALLFORM03.gifAdaptability

The perfect panel size-grid gives you innumerable combinations, in both width and height. You can use the panels either upright or horizontal, and the 15 cm increment-grid gives you optimum adaptability of the formwork to the dimensions of the structure, at all times.

Stepless height offset

The fixing bead around the inside of the profiles enables the connectors to be fastened anywhere on the frame. This allows adjacent panels to be staggered in height continuously, i.e. without being confined to any fixed grid. This means that the formwork can easily be accommodated to e.g. steps, slopes and uneven floors, at no extra cost in terms of time.

WALLFORM06.jpgCarry on forming with in-situ timber

Alu-Framax formwork gives you easy connections when you need to "fill-in" with in-situ timber formwork. Between them, the universal waling, the wedge clamp and the integrated bolt system make it easy for you to join Alu-Framax panels to squared timbers and ply sheets.

Edges with the Framax triangular ledge

Where outside corners are formed using the Framax outside corner, the quick acting clamps used for the interconnection mean that the Framax triangular ledge has to be used.

Edges with Framax frontal triangular ledge
The frontal triangular ledge can be pushed over the end face ofthe panel (no nails needed). Forforming outside corners, it is used with the universal panel (integrated slot grid for universal fixing bolts). Edges can also, of course, be formed using the triangular ledge.WALLFORM11.gif

Acute & obtuse-angled corners

Acute and obtuse angles are solved using the hinged inside and outside corners.

WALLFORM14.jpgWhen preparing the corners, remember the following points:
From angles of 1200 and upwards, universal walings must be used on the inside corner in every waling-profile level.
On outside corners, universal walings should generally be positioned in every waling-profile level.
Where there are closures, provide extra Universal walings as shown in the section headed "Length adjustment using closures".
For details regarding extra inter-panel connections on outside corners (for increased tensile loads). see the section headed "Inter-panel connections for increased tensile loads".
Number of clamps needed in the hinged outside corner:
Height of panel Number of clamps
0.90 m 4
2.70 m 8

70° (60°) - 135° angles, with hinged corners I + A
Where universal fixing bolts are used (only on 55 and 60 em wide panels) instead of the quick-acting clamp RU in the inside corner, an angle of 600 is also possible.

The hinged corner I can be fixed at a 90° angle using a universal fixing bolt and super-plate 15.0.
