Acrow are very pleased to share that we were successful in winning jobs of the year awards at the recent SARNZ annual conference.
Winner: Acrow Wellington Branch – RA Vance Stand, Basin Reserve
Acrow’s Wellington Branch were engaged by Main Contractor Naylor Love to provide a design/build solution for the maintenance of the R.A Vance Stand at the Basin Reserve, helping restore a heritage structure at one of New Zealand’s most iconic sporting venues.
Layher Allround was used to provide access to the entirety of the stand, including a large birdcage scaffold throughout the whole interior of the structure, with external access, roof edge protection, and internal towers built from the birdcage to access the steep pitched roofs that tower above the playing field below.
Time was a key factor for our client, so a mix of system scaffold and upwards of 20 scaffolders onsite at once meant we were able to erect and dismantle this scaffold in the short off-season before the Black Caps ran out on the Basin Reserve again to face South Africa as part of the International Test Series.
Winner: Acrow – Lichfield Milk Powder Factory Cone Tower
Scaffold was needed for the inside of the new 30T powder drier. It was erected on the ground for maximum safety and efficiency, then craned into the drier
